A wide experience of management positions across the business categories, culminating in a senior management role in the newly expanded Homewares Group. Successful record in commercial management in clothing and home.

1991-2002 Jerry’s Home Store, Founder & Managing Director (London, UK)

 

Founded and successfully managed a ground breaking US style speciality homeware retail company in London, from start-up to sale, a new concept much admired for its innovative product selection and displays. 
 

Led the product design and development process and delivered high margin product sourced directly from the US, Europe and the Far East.

After successfully opening several stores in and around London, the company was sold in 2002.

 

2002-present ny-lon design, Director (London, UK / New York, USA)

 

Founded ny-lon design in 2002 in London, a full service consultancy providing strategic and creative solutions for retailers and brands.
 

Opened further studios in Hong Kong and in New York to support major clients including Li & Fung. From New York developed a roster of key US clients.. 

Services included product design and development as well as brand development and marketing.

Clients included leading retailers such as John Lewis, Dunelm, Lakeland, Anthropologie, Bed Bath & Beyond and brands such as Kate Spade, Rick Stein and Universal Expert.

 

In recent years I have focussed our support on smaller, generally high end, niche brands using my experience to assist entrepreneurs to develop their business.
